Your block. Better equipped.

The right tool.
Three doors down.

A neighborhood tool library, hosted in one driveway. Borrow by the hour, pick up nearby, and get your weekend project done without buying another machine.

Starting small: one driveway, five useful tools, one neighborhood.

A smaller way to rent

A useful driveway.
An entire block served.

For the tools you need twice a year, not twice a day. Think ladders, pressure washers, carpet cleaners, and folding tables—without a garage full of duplicates.

Your first project, on us.

Our launch offer: a free first borrow in exchange for sharing your before-and-after. Available on participating launch blocks; confirm eligibility with the host before booking.

01

Choose the tool, not the trip.

Check available listings and book the hours your project needs. Local inventory starts with one host per block.

02

Meet at the driveway.

Pick up from your neighborhood host. Photograph the tool as it goes out, so everyone has a clear record of its condition.

03

Return it. Make room for the next project.

Bring the tool back at the agreed time and take a return photo. Your neighbor earns; your garage stays clear.

Borrow by the hour

Only pay for the time you need.

Rates depend on the tool. Check the listing for availability, duration, and the booking price.

$12–$40 / hour

Our planned hourly range, from everyday essentials to bigger cleaning machines. Any applicable machine wear fee is additional.

For the house with the good ladder

Put your tools to work.

Hosts join for free and keep 80% of each booking. BlockBorrow keeps 20% to run the platform; expensive machines may also carry a small wear fee for the host.

An optional $29 starter kit helps new hosts get a ladder and washer listed. No kit is required to join.

Hosting begins with the launch block. Host enrollment is not open yet.

One block. More possibilities.

Make progress.
Not another purchase.

Start with what’s available. Your next weekend project could be waiting just down the street.
